NURSING FOUNDATION DEPARTMENT

The Nursing Foundation Department is the core and fundamental department of the B.Sc. Nursing programme. It lays a strong foundation for nursing students by introducing the basic concepts, principles and skills essential for professional nursing practice. The department focuses on developing knowledge, attitudes and skills required to provide safe, holistic and patient-centered care. The department emphasizes fundamental nursing procedures, first aid, infection control, communication skills, ethics and professionalism. Through theory classes, skill-lab training and clinical exposure, students are prepared to meet the basic health needs of individuals, families and communities. The Nursing Foundation Department aims to build confidence, discipline and responsibility among students, enabling them to progress successfully into advanced nursing subjects and clinical practice while upholding the values and standards of the nursing profession.
