COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING DEPARTMENT

The Community Health Nursing Department focuses on preparing nursing students to deliver comprehensive preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative health care services at the community level. The department emphasizes the health needs of individuals, families and communities, with special attention to vulnerable and underserved populations. The department provides knowledge and skills related to public health, primary health care, national health programs, epidemiology, environmental health, nutrition, maternal and child health and family welfare services. Through field visits, community postings and health education activities, students gain practical exposure to real-life community health issues.
