CHILD HEALTH NURSING DEPARTMENT

The Child Health Nursing Department focuses on preparing nursing students to provide comprehensive, holistic and family-centered care to infants, children and adolescents. The department emphasizes promotion of growth and development, prevention of illness, early detection of health problems and management of childhood diseases. The department provides theoretical and practical training in areas such as newborn care, growth and development, immunization, nutrition, common pediatric disorders, pediatric emergencies and child welfare services. Students gain clinical experience in pediatric wards, neonatal units, immunization clinics and community settings. The Child Health Nursing Department aims to develop competent, caring and responsible nurses who can deliver safe and effective nursing care to children, support families, promote child health and wellbeing, and contribute to the reduction of child morbidity and mortality.
